Karey T. Mayers, CEO of Mayers Consulting Service is an Employment Standards Consultant and a Commissioner of Oaths. She has also been a Labour Relations/Human Resources Facilitator for over 30 years. Karey has direct experience representing Government, Corporate and Union organizations at both provincial and national levels. Most notably, she was an Employment Standards Officer with the Government of Alberta until the fall of 2006.
Karey has provided expertise to local, regional and national organizations including Canada Post Corporation and TELUS Communications. She specializes in mediation, collective bargaining, Labour/Management consultation, grievance hearings, national arbitration cases, and the interpretation and administration of multiple collective agreements. Karey has worked with the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Legislation including the regulations specific to Trade Occupations.
Karey s vast experience led her to develop several different Labour Code Information Seminars and Training (L.I.S.T.) dealing with challenging problems such as unacceptable employee behaviour. She has developed customized course curricula specific to Attendance Management, Discipline and Discharge, Manager/Supervisor Awareness, and Employer/Employee Relations.
